Bettie has worked in the government contract arena for 20 plus years supporting major corporations as a Vice President and Deputy General Manager responsible for meeting the company’s strategic and growth objectives. She uses her experience in operations, management and government compliance to ensure the company's infrastructure meets the corporate strategies.  Areas of experience include managing Finance, Accounting, IT, Safety, Human Resources, Contracts, Quality Control, Purchasing, and GSA schedules supporting three vertical markets.   

She has worked with government agencies including Defense Contract Audit Agency (DCAA), Department of Defense (DOD), Department of Energy (DOE), Veterans Administration (VA) and civilian agencies.

Bettie believes in conducting internal investigations in a thorough unbiased manner.  She has spent more than three decades steeped in EEO laws and regulations based on race, sex, gender, age, and religion EEO/affirmative action laws and obligations of employers.

She has served as the corporate representative in legal matters negotiating and mediating corporate internal complaints. EEO investigations include interviewing managers and third party clients who may have evidence relating to a complaint.

Employment laws are constantly changing. Bettie ensures her clients are best represented by keeping abreast of recent legislation, guidelines, interpretations, and court decisions. These changes impact many Equal Employment Opportunity (EEO) laws which serve as a basis for organizational policies, procedures, and day-to-day operations. 

Some of her specific work in the EEO space includes extensive work in Title VII of the Civil Rights Act of 1964, Civil Rights Act of 1991, Age Discrimination in Employment Act, Equal Pay Act, Americans with Disabilities Act, Affirmative Action (AAPs) laws and orders which include Executive Order 11246, Rehabilitation Act/Section 503 Regulations, Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Act, Family and Medical Leave (FLMA) and EEO State and local laws.
